The Legal Entity selection criteria can be used to narrow down which customer organizations will be included in the output (by limiting the results to a sub-set of Customers having been specified as a Customer for a particular Legal Entity or All Legal Entities).  By default, no filtering by Legal Entity will occur.  

If you do not want to include Customers for all Legal Entities, you can use the Legal Entity filter option and click on the filter icon () to narrow down the list of items in the multi-select box.  Once you have narrowed down the list, you can further select and de-select individual items in the multi-select box.

What is eligible to appear in the multi-select box filtered results?

The Legal Entity Organizations that may appear in the filtered results include only those organizations that have been defined to be a "Legal Entity".  This relationship is defined on the Organization >> Edit >> Financials tab.

The options available to refine the items included in the multi-select box include:

• Org. Code & Org Name - You can use the Legal Entity filter options to refine the entries included.  For example, if you only wanted to include Legal Entity Organizations that begin with ABC, you could supply ABC in the filter field.  

• Include Customer Profiles valid for All Legal Entities
• • When checked, the results of the export will include those organizations having a Customer Profile association for the "All Legal Entities" entry (that is, Customer organizations that have been designated as a customer for 'All Legal Entities').
  • • If this is the only option checked, then you will not be able to search for and filter by specific legal entity entries.  
• Include Customer Profiles valid for a Specific Legal Entity
• • When checked, you will be allowed to narrow the results by filtering for and selecting specific legal entity organizations (using the Org.Code & Org. Name filters).
  • The results of the export will include those organizations having a Customer Profile association matching the filtered/selected legal entity entries (that is, Customer organizations that have been designated as a customer for the specific legal entities).
    

Note that unlike many selection criteria screens, the resulting output of this export will include the results of both check box subject areas above (that is, the union / combined results of the two areas and not the intersection of the two data sets).

• Suppress Customer Profiles valid for All Legal Entities when an Entity Specific profile exists
• • This option will only be available if the first two options are selected.  
  • The intention of this option is to allow you to limit the resulting output by suppressing those output records for customer profile / organizations that have both an "All Legal Entities" entry and a specific Legal Entity entry.  Do note that an "All Legal Entities" entry for a specific Customer Profile entry may continue to appear in the resulting output in cases where multiple Legal Entities were included in the list of filtered legal entities and at least one of those legal entities has that Customer Profile association with only the All Legal Entities entry.
